Black Teacher Ridicules White student wearing Romney t-shirt
On ‘dress down Friday’ in a Philadelphia high school, a 16 year old sophomore decided to wear a pink Romney/Ryan t-shirt. Unfortunately for the student, Samantha Pawlucy, she has a Geometry teacher who doesn’t like Romney; doesn’t agree with freedom of speech or expression and doesn’t know history. The teacher humiliated the young girl in class by telling her to ‘get out’ or change her t-shirt. The teacher, who is black, told Pawlucy that her wearing that shirt would be like the teacher wearing a KKK shirt. Apparently the teacher doesn’t know that theKKK was started by the Democrats.
What is missing in most of the stories that have been published is this teacher’s obviousracism. Had a white teacher done this to a black student wearing an Obama/Biden t-shirt, all hell would have broken loose and it would somehow be the Republican Party’s fault. The race of the teacher hasn’t even been widely reported – why is that? The story is bad enough but it’s far worse that this teacher is black and she specifically used racist terms as an analogy against a white student simply showing her support for a candidate; a candidate the teacher clearly isn’t supporting.
There should be no other alternative than for this teacher to be fired. Children shouldn’t be afraid to exercise their free speech rights in school when those rights are completely reasonable. Teachers probably see many articles of clothing that they disagree with but keep their mouths shut because that’s the right thing to do. This teacher lacks the civility, respect and historical knowledge to be further supported with taxpayer dollars in our school systems.

Obama brought a Knife to a Gunfight
The first presidential debate was held tonight in Denver, Colorado and moderated by PBS’ Jim Lehrer. The debate was focused on domestic issues and ran for 90 minutes. From the very beginning, Romney was articulate, confident and was well versed in each topic covered. Obama, without his teleprompter, sounded unsure of himself, inarticulate and like a Junior Senator from Chicago at his first presidential debate. If you didn’t know who the president currently is, you would have assumed it was Mitt Romney. He came off as presidential and a leader while Barack Obama came off as someone who didn’t really know the answers to the questions and maybe didn’t prepare enough for one of the biggest events in his political career and certainly didn’t hold confident leadership qualities.
Romney had some great ‘one liners’ during the debate that are worth repeating:
When Obama claimed that Obamacare would bring down the cost of healthcare –
In my opinion Gov’t isn’t effective at bringing down the cost of almost anything.
When Obama tried to present facts about Romney’s plan that weren’t true –

Maggie Hassan WILL raise Taxes and thinks Voters will LIKE it
Maggie Hassan, Democratic candidate for Governor has a slight problem – her record. Hassan was a New Hampshire State Senator for several years before being voted out in 2010. One of the reasons was due to her ‘taxing’ problem. While Hassan may like to claim she won’t raise income or sales taxes, she certainly loves raising all kinds of other fees and taxes that necessarily hurt the working and middle classes in New Hampshire. She has specifically said she will raise taxes and fees and actually believes the voters will like it. From the Portsmouth Herald:
Hassan said before anyone can talk specifics about taxes, the state needs to evaluate its revenue and determine its funding priorities, but she did say there are multiple tax cuts that could be reversed.
“There were a lot of back-of-the-budget tax cuts that the Republicans put into this last budget that we’re going to have to review and look at,” she said. “When you look at some of the back-of-the-budget tax cuts and other tax cuts the Republicans made the last two years, I think there are some things that most taxpayers of New Hampshire would agree that we could restore.”
Unfortunately Hassan is serious. She actually believes that taxes should be raised on New Hampshire residents even during this abysmal recession that her dear leader Obama has kept this country in for almost 4 years. Hassan was booted out of the State Senate in 2010, in all likelihood due to her love for raising fees and taxes. New Hampshire residents enjoy the freedom of a small government and paying less in overall taxes than their neighboring states. Apparently Hassan hasn’t gotten the message.
While Hassan was in the State Legislature, she raised taxes and fees over 33 times. Those are 33 reasons alone not to vote for her as Governor. Those were 33 reasons alone she was voted out of office. From an ad paid for by the Live Free PAC:
“Two years ago, voters rejected Maggie Hassan’s tax record – voting her out of office,” a female narrator says. “As Senate Majority Leader, Hassan pushed a budget with over $300 million in higher taxes and fees, 33 tax and fee increases, a controversial new tax on small businesses, higher taxes on rooms and meals [and] increased fees for vehicle registration. Even a new tax on camping! Maggie Hassan believes in high taxes. New Hampshire doesn’t.”

In what is far creepier than even the Obama logo that came out in 2008, the Obama campaign released their version of the American flag. They are actually selling this propaganda (reminiscent of Communist and Fascist eras gone by) on their campaign site. Obama has been the most divisive president in modern history. He has divided this country by class, gender, race, religion and everything in between. Obama’s version of America is far different than what the Founding Fathers intended and far, far different than what the majority of Americans want. As noted by a commenter on Twitchy’s blog about this flag, it is the ‘Obama States of Amerika’.

The fact that the Obama campaign decided to create their own version of the American flag says all you need to know about Obama – he is not for uniting America, he is for uniting the Obama States of Amerika (those who believe that the United States of America should be an entitlement, secular, hate-filled society where only one opinion – theirs – matters).

Chicago Teachers Strike proving why Public Sector Unions should be Banned
Late breaking news out of Chicago last night was that Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) and the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) negotiations broke down yet again and the teachers will be going on strike today. The last contract ended on June 30, 2012 and negotiations have been going on for months but neither side would give in to the other’s final concessions. Why would almost 30,000 teachers strike, leaving around 400,000 kids ‘on the street’? Before delving into the reasons, you should know some background about Chicago:
- Chicago Public Schools are facing a $700 million budget shortfall
- Chicago is facing a $15 billion budget shortfall overall
- Chicago raised personal income taxes on residents by a whopping 66%
- Chicago raised property taxes on residents to the tune of $221 million specifically for education
- 71 cents for every dollar of education spending is now set aside for teacher pensions
With those factors in mind, it’s a wonder there is any money left to pay for increases in educational expenses. But it doesn’t stop there. What exactly are the main reasons for the CTU strike?
Extended school day and year:
Chicago Public Schools have the shortest school day in the country (6.25 hours according to the latest CTU contract). Mayor Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s former Chief of Staff) wants to increase the day by 90 minutes. As a concession, CPS said they’d only increase it by 10%. Studies have shown that a longer school day actually helps students to learn more. The teachers are willing to work the longer school day but want a 30% increase in pay for doing so – 24% in the first year, 5% the next year.
Increase in pay:
Chicago teachers are, on average, the highest paid teachers in the country. According to the CTU, the average pay for a Chicago teacher is $71,000 (for working 170 days per year – they get 10 paid vacation days). Given that they have the shortest school day and the highest pay already, demanding a 30% increase in pay over the next 2 years is egregious. Especially since Chicago Public Schools fall in the bottom of the country when it comes to test scores.
Chicago Public Schools have some of the worst student outcomes in Illinois and the country. The demands made by the teachers’ unions all these years that more spending and smaller classrooms (CTU contract also limits class size) will increase the test scores and learning of students is apparently bogus.
Teacher evaluations:
The CPS wants to install new methods of evaluating teachers so that they can retain only the best teachers. It is built into the CTU contract that the union has a say in the evaluations. How many employees tell their employer how they want to be evaluated? Given the failing record of the Chicago Teachers Union, maybe it should be the parents who evaluate the teachers. The union should have zero say in evaluations. The Chicago Public School Board should create the standards that weed out the worst teachers so that students actually have a fighting chance at a good education.
Air conditioning:
One of the complaints of the CTU is teachers being forced to teach in 98 degree classrooms on some days. While it definitely would be better to have air conditioning for all involved, the majority of schools in this country do not (at least not on the East Coast). They have never had A/C in Chicago Public Schools so this is all of the sudden a reason to strike? Given that the teachers themselves are sucking up most of the funds going towards education, it’s hard to rally around them asking for millions more to pay for air conditioning.
Supplies and copying:
Apparently books are not in on time for the first day of school. Why? What are the reasons for this delay? Arguably this is an issue that needs to be resolved. This again is no reason to strike. Copying also seems to be an issue. Given that teachers do make many copies throughout the years, this is another resolvable issue that is no cause for a strike. If funding is the issue, maybe teachers can spend a little more on their health insurance and use the savings to pay for the desperately needed copies.
It should also be noted that Chicago teachers pay only 3% of their health insurance premiums. That seems to be another point of contention. The CPS is possibly trying to raise that amount by 7% so the teachers would be paying 10% for their health insurance premiums (note: the majority of taxpayers footing the bill for these teachers are paying 25% or more for their own health insurance).

Some Truth about Unions on Labor Day
Every year unions take great pains to remind people why unions were (once) so great. They attempt to make people believe that unions are still necessary and great now. Unfortunately for union bosses, there is more truth out there now. They can hide from it but they can only run for so long. The fact is that unions do nothing but hurt the economy, taxpayers, consumers and the overall country now, including union members.
Less that 7% of private sector workers are unionized. Why? Workers are protected by a slew of federal, state and local laws. Businesses have realized that offering better pay and benefits will attract better workers, so they offer them. Workers don’t need to be unionized to negotiate their own salaries.
What has changed about unions? Since John F. Kennedy decided to allow public sector unions to organize in 1962(for purely political reasons), we have seen the unionization of millions of federal, state and local workers. Around 37% of all public sector employees are union members. What does this mean for governments and taxpayers? It means higher taxes, bigger government, a less productive workforce and an unsustainable liability of pensions and health care payments far into the future.
- The states with the highest overall taxes are all forced union states with high numbers of public sector employees.
- The states in the worst debt troubles are all forced union states with high numbers of public sector employees.
- Per Capita the states that receive the most in federal aid are also forced union states.
George Meany (former President of the AFL-CIO) and FDR were accurate when they agreed that public sector employees could not collectively bargain with elected officials. What has happened as a result? Unions pay big money to elect politicians (majority of money goes to Democrats) and then those politicians in turn pay back the unions by pushing for bigger government, higher salaries and bigger pensions. The tax payer ends up paying the price while have zero say in the collective bargaining negotiations. In Massachusetts an unskilled toll collector on the Massachusetts Turnpike made almost $100,000 in on year. His base salary is $60,000 not including his cushy benefits package . This is egregious and shows exactly how unions and Democrats work with each other in a symbiotic relationship that leeches off the tax payers.

Sexism is Alive and Well for Democrats
According to the Boston Globe Democrat John Walsh believes that doing laundry is a woman’s job: “The chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, rallying state delegates before the Democratic National Convention, today said that Senator Scott Brown tried to portray himself as “an honorary girl” by folding laundry in a TV commercial targeting women voters.” Seems that John Walsh forgets that this is 2012 and not 1950. Interesting coming from a man who pretends to be all about women’s rights. Actually it is even more insulting that he used the term ‘girl’ in his politically correct world isn’t it? So much for the party that likes to claim they aren’t sexist. Walsh will fit in well with other sexist Democrats at the convention.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz made a sexist fool out of herself when she called the females speakers at the Republican National Convention ‘shiny packages’. Apparently to Wasserman-Schultz a former Secretary of State, three sitting Governors, a Mayor, an Attorney General, a U.S. Senator and a former Lt. Govenor are nothing more than shiny packages to have on parade. Wasserman-Schultz has the typical mentality of the loons at NOW who aren’t feminists but another arm of the left wing.
And then there’s Bill Clinton (accused of rape; settled a sexual assault claim; multiple sexual assault claims; and predator of young interns while in the White House). It’s clear misogyny lives long and prospers when it comes to Democrats. The party that tried to accuse Republicans of enacting a ‘War On Women’ clearly hasn’t sent the message to their leaders that sexism isn’t OK. The fact that Bill Clinton is the keynote speaker at the Democratic National Convention says all you need to know about Democrats and their true thoughts on women.

Elizabeth Warren has little respect for Massachusetts Voters
Elizabeth Warren (Democrat) is running for the Senate seat in Massachusetts currently held by Scott Brown (Republican). As her candidacy has unfolded, so has her past of fraudulence and continual lies. Those things apparently aren’t bad enough. Warren now wants to continue lying only it’s about Scott Brown and Republicans. Rather than discuss the issues, she has chosen to outright lie about what legislation represents and not tell the truth about other policies. Elizabeth Warren is originally from Oklahoma, maybe that’s why she has no respect for Massachusetts voters.
Below is a list of her recent lies and the actual truth, because the people in Massachusetts (and the entire country) deserve better:
Warren: “Scott Brown voted against equal pay for women.”
The Equal Pay Act was voted on and passed in 1964 – long before Scott Brown was working in the Senate. As a matter of fact, he was just a kid when that Act was passed (NOTE: only Democrats voted against it). What Warren must be referring to is the Paycheck Fairness Act which is about lawsuits and forcing businesses to allow all employees to openly discuss what they are paid. In fact, the Paycheck Fairness Act would actually hurt women if it had passed. Historical facts seem to be above Warren’s pay grade (earning millions does not make a person smarter).
Warren: “Scott Brown voted to protect tax breaks for oil companies.”
There are no special tax breaks for oil companies. “They are the standard relief afforded manufacturers, mining companies and other businesses to help recognize the costs of operations” Increasing taxes on any company during a recession when unemployment has remained over an 8% high (thanks to Warren’s own political party) for 3 years would be voting for killing more jobs. Apparently Warren doesn’t understand how business, the economy or the tax code works. Scott Brown did the right thing for his constituents and the country by not voting to kill more jobs.
Warren: “Scott Brown voted against three jobs bills.”
The ‘jobs bills’ Warren is referring to weren’t job creation bills but more spending bills. After the debacle of the Stimulus that spent almost a trillion taxpayer dollars, Warren should know better than to think voters are willing to waste even more money. The average cost per job ‘created or saved’ from the Stimulus bill was $300,000. The private sector needs to create jobs and the House, with bi-partisan votes, has passed over 25 bills that would not cost the taxpayers any money but would help create jobs in the private sector. It is Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that has refused to bring the bills to the Senate floor. Maybe Warren should start hammering Reid over this.
Warren: “The Republican agenda is to limit women’s access to health care services.”
Warren is referring to the fight over forcing religious institutions to provide contraception to employees even though it is against their religious beliefs. Funny thing, ‘Liberal Lion’ Teddy Kennedy agrees with Scott Brown and many others, including Democrats and the Constitution that the government not be allowed to force this upon these institutions. No one is limiting access to health care services. Women are free to go into their local pharmacy and purchase birth control at very cheap prices. Apparently Warren believes women are too helpless to be personally responsible for their own actions.
