Liberal Lies and Hysteria Try to tie Romney with Sensata Closure

The Twitterverse exploded tonight with rage over a company in Illinois called Sensata closing its doors and shipping its production to China. The big story isn’t that the company is closing but that Liberals are actually trying to blame Mitt Romney for it based on ridiculous lies being pushed by theSEIU. No shocker that the SEIU would sink this low but it doesn’t say much about Democrats that they are so easily led to believe outrageous accusations without bothering to do a quick search on the internet to discover the facts. The myths that are being perpetrated and facts are dissected below.

MYTH: Mitt Romney owns Sensata.

FACT: Mitt Romney has nothing to do with Sensata. Bain Capital Investors have a 51.8% share of Sensata stock.

FACT: Romney actually transferred what stocks he did own in Sensata to charities.

MYTH: Romney makes Bain business decisions.

FACT: Romney hasn’t made business decisions at Bain for many years now. He and his wife Ann have a blind trust with Bain which means they have zero clue where their money is invested.

FACT: The key people running Bain Capital Investors are Joshua Bekenstein, John Connaughton, Paul Edgerly, Mark Nunnelly, Stephen Pagliuca, Jordan Hitch and Matthew Levin. It seems that the majority of these ‘key people’, who make decisions like closing Sensata, are Democrats who support Obama.

In 2008, Bekenstein gave over $200,000 to help Democrats get elected. He and his wife are listed as one of the Top Individual Contributors on OpenSecrets.org.

In 2010, Stephen Pagliuca ran against Martha Coakley in the Democratic primary for the special Senate seat election, the election that Scott Brown won.

In 2008, Jordan Hitch gave money to both the Obama campaign and to the Romney campaign.

In 2008, Mark Nunnelly gave thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates across the country, including Harry Reid.

In 2012, it was rumored that Matt Levin may speak at the Democratic National Convention. He also donates frequently to Democrats.

MYTH: Romney gets a tax break from outsourcing jobs to China

FACT: Romney doesn’t own Sensata and the ‘tax break’ for outsourcing jobs itself is a myth. It’s a minor moving deduction and it’s miniscule.

MYTH: Romney can do anything to stop Bain or Sensata from making business decisions like shipping 170 jobs to China.

FACT: Romney cannot alter the decisions made by the people are actually running these businesses. He has zero influence on what these people choose to do with their business or employees.

MYTH: Sensata replaced the American flag with the Chinese flag at their plant in Illinois.

FACT: This lie is being perpetrated by people like left wing hacks at DailyKos. The photo they use as ‘proof’ is actually of the Sensata plant in China.

This ‘Bainport’ protest and hysteria is nothing but astroturf by the SEIU and the Occupy ‘rape tent’ crowd. While it is unfortunate that people will be losing their jobs, neither the SEIU, Occupiers or Democrats care anything about them. This is merely a ploy to paint Romney as some evil businessman who ships American jobs to China. What’s more amusing is that Obama has actually shipped jobs overseas with taxpayer funded stimulus money but there’s no protest over that from the SEIU.

It’s understandable for the employees to be upset but they are being used by Democrats as political pawns and it’s actually pretty reprehensible. If they want to direct their anger at Bain, they should direct it to the Democrats who are running it now. Of course, that wouldn’t really fit into the left wing agenda of lies and deceit now would it? Apparently the left will stop at nothing to defeat Romney but using Americans who are actually going to feel pain from this closure is egregious. Using these poor people as political pawns and lying to them shows the lack of character and morals of Democrats. It’s expected that unions and their Democrat lackeys will lie about Romney but it’s not fair to these workers or voters.

Black Teacher Ridicules White student wearing Romney t-shirt

On ‘dress down Friday’ in a Philadelphia high school, a 16 year old sophomore decided to wear a pink Romney/Ryan t-shirt. Unfortunately for the student, Samantha Pawlucy, she has a Geometry teacher who doesn’t like Romney; doesn’t agree with freedom of speech or expression and doesn’t know history. The teacher humiliated the young girl in class by telling her to ‘get out’ or change her t-shirt. The teacher, who is black, told Pawlucy that her wearing that shirt would be like the teacher wearing a KKK shirt. Apparently the teacher doesn’t know that theKKK was started by the Democrats.

What is missing in most of the stories that have been published is this teacher’s obviousracism. Had a white teacher done this to a black student wearing an Obama/Biden t-shirt, all hell would have broken loose and it would somehow be the Republican Party’s fault. The race of the teacher hasn’t even been widely reported – why is that? The story is bad enough but it’s far worse that this teacher is black and she specifically used racist terms as an analogy against a white student simply showing her support for a candidate; a candidate the teacher clearly isn’t supporting.

There should be no other alternative than for this teacher to be fired. Children shouldn’t be afraid to exercise their free speech rights in school when those rights are completely reasonable. Teachers probably see many articles of clothing that they disagree with but keep their mouths shut because that’s the right thing to do. This teacher lacks the civility, respect and historical knowledge to be further supported with taxpayer dollars in our school systems.

Obama brought a Knife to a Gunfight

The first presidential debate was held tonight in Denver, Colorado and moderated by PBS’ Jim Lehrer. The debate was focused on domestic issues and ran for 90 minutes. From the very beginning, Romney was articulate, confident and was well versed in each topic covered. Obama, without his teleprompter, sounded unsure of himself, inarticulate and like a Junior Senator from Chicago at his first presidential debate. If you didn’t know who the president currently is, you would have assumed it was Mitt Romney. He came off as presidential and a leader while Barack Obama came off as someone who didn’t really know the answers to the questions and maybe didn’t prepare enough for one of the biggest events in his political career and certainly didn’t hold confident leadership qualities.

Romney had some great ‘one liners’ during the debate that are worth repeating:

When Obama claimed that Obamacare would bring down the cost of healthcare –

In my opinion Gov’t isn’t effective at bringing down the cost of almost anything.

When Obama tried to present facts about Romney’s plan that weren’t true –

Mr. President, you’re entitled to your own airplane and your own house but not your own facts.

Some of the best highlights were on Twitter, during and after the debate by Democrats who were clearly crushed by Obama’s performance:

Already trying to blame Kerry (Obama’s debate partner) for Obama’s poor performance –

@mripple: John Kerry not a good foil. Obama needs somebody who morphs while he speaks.

(This from Michael Moore – uber anti-capitalist and far left wing extremist) –

@MMFlint: This is what happens when u pick John Kerry as your debate coach

The uber-Liberal Joan Walsh of Salon.com –

@joanwalsh: Someone close to the president has to help him figure out the roots of his um’s and uh’s. He seems so tentative…

Bill Maher (who donated $1 million to Obama’s campaign had a couple) –

@BillMaher: Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney

@BillMaher: i can’t believe i’m saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter

Wake me after the GOP primaries are over

The GOP primaries have become such a bore they aren’t worth watching any longer (all the good soundbites come out right afterwards anyway so it’s not like I’m missing anything).  How many debates do Republicans and the media think people can take within a given amount of time?  One debate per primary would serve the purpose.  The debates I truly care about seeing are the ones between Obama and the GOP nominee.  Those will be interesting debates although odds are the Liberal moderators will throw Obama fluff questions rather than hard hitting questions about his failed presidency.  I have no horse in the GOP race nor am I overtly fond of any of the candidates still in the race.  I like something about all of them and dislike things about all of them.  What I DO know is that ANY of them would be better than Obama.

There are only 4 GOP candiates left…. so what have we got?

Mittens aka Mitt Romney – the (cue the far right’s scary music) ‘Massachusetts Republican’.  He’s an extremely successful businessman who also ran the state of Massachusetts pretty well.  People whine about ‘Romneycare’ but what they don’t get is many in MA wanted that crap sandwich (remember… Marxichusetts is uber progressive HELL).  If the majority of MA residents didn’t want it, they would have done something to get rid of it by now –  they haven’t.  Mitt comes off as what I call an ‘Alex P. Keaton’ Republican – safe, intelligent, dresses well, great business/economic mind but isn’t very exciting.  The thing is there are many Indies who would vote for him in a heartbeat over Obama even though they voted for Obama in 2008.

The Lizard King aka Newt Gingrich – the man who cheated on his 1st wife with his 2nd wife then cheated on his 2nd wife with his 3rd and current wife aka helmet head.  I somehow cannot see a ‘floozy FLOTUS’ in the White House.  Granted Michelle Obama lowered the bar in her roll as FLOTUS but not even low enough for people to believe someone like Gingrich’s wife OR Gingrich should be in the highest position in this country.  Not to mention Newt is the KING of Establishment even though he feigns he is not.  He never left D.C. when he was forced to resign.  He just made millions of dollars as a ‘non-lobbyist’ lobbyist.  The man has his hands in all kinds of organizations, including his own, that stand to make millions off of things like Obamacare.

Sanitorium aka Rick Santorum – the man who people believe ‘hates gays’.  Yeah that’ll win over the Indies (who are fiscally conservative and socially moderate).  Santorum is a dud.  He lost his last senate race by such a huge margin  they should have forced ‘mercy rules’ on his opponent.   Santorum lost me when I found out he voted AGAINST a National Right to Work bill while Senator.

The Angry Elf aka Ron Paul – the man who people think of as their ‘crazy Grandpa’.  The oldest and oddest of all the candidates.  Ron Paul has been in Congress for over two decades yet has gotten jack & squat accomplished.  Sorry but any ass can vote ‘NAY, ‘YEA’ or ‘PRESENT’ – Obama is a perfect example.  Paul doesn’t win  a majority of ANY voter type unless you are an anarchist.  Some of his rabid followers aka Roasted Paulnuts claim HE is the most Conservative of all the candidates yet he has not won the majority of Conservative votes in any of the primaries to date, not even in New Hampshire which is where the Libertarian ‘Free State Project’ set its roots.  Just imagine what ‘regular Americans’, who are not involved in politics at all, would think if they saw Paul in a general election debate with Obama?  Obama wouldn’t have to spend a dime of his huge campaign coffers to win against Paul.

So again… wake me when the GOP primaries are over.  I’m hoping Republicans actually pick the best candidate to win against Obama.  This whining about ‘who is more conservative’ or ‘who is more liberal’ really doesn’t matter.  YOU, my dear Republicans, do not win elections – Indies do.  If you are smart you will pick the right candidate and you will make SURE that Republicans take over the Senate and maintain control of the House because no matter who is elected, they will need to be reigned in and controlled by ‘we, the people’ aka GOOD representatives.  I shudder to think that if Obama is re-elected he will possibly have two SCOTUS nominations.  If that were to happen, we can all kiss the Constitution and this country BUH-BYE.
