The Hysteria over defunding Planned Parenthood is just that – Hysteria

Harry Reid has been excoriating Republicans for wanting to defund Planned Parenthood. Louise Slaughter told people the GOP wants to ‘kill women’.  The head of Planned Parenthood lied and said that women wouldn’t be able to get mammograms.  Liberal women on Twitter were tossing around their uteri like footballs.  Why?  Because the Republicans want to defund Planned Parenthood.

Yes Planned Parenthood, those innocent, caring people that victimize young girls who have been victimized and victimize minorities by providing the most abortions in the country to them.  Planned Parenthood, the biggest provider of abortions in the country (and probably the world), makes millions of dollars a year for providing services.  They also get millions from private donations.  They also get over $300 million from taxpayers.  Their 2009 financial statements don’t show them to be in any dire need of cashola – hell they have a better bottom line than many businesses.

Planned Parenthood is a multi-million dollar a year organization.  They provide services that women can get elsewhere.   The federal government, aka taxpayers, provide health care funding for poor women to get services anywhere that accepts Medicaid.  Planned Parenthood won’t go out of business without federal taxpayer dollars.  New Hampshire Liberals are all up in arms lately as well because Planned Parenthood was defunded – all other providers of services to women were funded – the only difference being that PP provides abortions.  Since tax dollars don’t pay for abortions but will still pay for ALL other services that low income women need – why the hysteria?   Maybe it’s due to the lobbying money that Planned Parenthood spends each year?  Take that money and use it for services rather than pushing hysterical femi-nazis all over the country to practically explode in anger because somehow defunding PP now means that women won’t be able to get abortions.  (I know, I know, this is not normal thinking but we are talking about liberal logic here).

Maybe the Liberals who feign to actually give a shit about women’s uteri like Harry Reid and Louis Slaughter could put their money where their mouths are and donate to Planned Parenthood.  Maybe if Planned Parenthood stopped victimizing young girls and minorities, I would support federal funds aiding this organization.  We need to make massive cuts to spending.  I say we start with useless programs.  In my opinion, Planned Parenthood is one of them.  Not that it doesn’t provide valuable services to women (excluding mammograms), but because it is a money-making business.  Their violations against children and minorities should be outrageous to ANY Liberal woman, yet they go ignored.  The fact that they can actually make money is one reason that I defend defunding Planned Parenthood.  Liberals need to stop lying that women will die if Planned Parenthood gets no federal support.  The lies are deceiving and don’t help women in the least bit.

Business 101 – Why the wealthy are good for all Americans

The Left has been railing on the wealthy for decades.  They believe there is some sort of money tree and somehow the wealthy get up earlier and grab the majority of the wealth and the rest of us just get whatever is left over.  That is simply not the case of course.  Aside from the fact that the wealthy EARN their wealth (even trust funders got their money from someone who at some point EARNED it) and aside from the fact they already pay the majority of taxes in the United States, the wealthy help invest in and create jobs across this country because they have the money.   I’m going to try to make this simple like my last blog ‘It’s the Spending Stupid – Tax Cuts do NOT increase the Deficit.’

The Left believes that people spending is what runs the economy – this is part of it but not the whole story.  Yes people have to spend money to keep businesses going but how did those businesses get started in the first place?  In many cases due to wealthy investors who have enough money that they are willing to risk investing in someone else’s idea so they can make more money.  The risk they take is that they lose all of their money if the idea doesn’t work.  I’m going to attempt to do this with a simple scenario that will hopefully make people understand the reality of business 101 and economics 101.

Person A is a wealthy businesswoman.  She runs her own company and makes millions of dollars a year.   We’ll call her Ms. Banks.

Person B is a middle class worker.  He currently works for a large corporation making decent money but has an idea that he’d love to put into production yet doesn’t have the funds to start a company and get the product manufactured and into the marketplace.  He needs a minimum of $500,000 in start-up costs.  He cannot get a loan for that much money.  We’ll call him Mr. Class.

Person C is an unemployed member of the working class.  He was working in a factory as a line supervisor but was laid off due to downsizing.   He is currently only purchasing the basics he needs to get by and refuses to use his credit cards in order to keep his debt low while unemployed.  We’ll call him Mr. Worker.

Mr. Class (person B) discovers that Ms. Banks (person A) likes to spend some of her money on start-up companies.  Since she is wealthy, she has the money and a start-up can either make her more money or lose her money but she only invests what she is willing to lose.  Mr. Class meets with Ms. Banks to present his brilliant idea to her.  Ms. Banks decides to ‘loan’ Mr. Class the $500,000 he needs to start his manufacturing company and get his product to the public.  If the product is successful, Ms. Banks will make a percentage on her investment and Mr. Class can become a wealthy entrepreneur himself.  If the product fails, Ms. Banks will lose the money she invested and Mr. Class will have to go back to working for someone else as he was before.

Mr. Class starts his new manufacturing company and must hire employees.  Mr. Worker (person C) is hired as a line supervisor.  The product is a great success!  Ms. Banks makes money on her investment; Mr. Class is now a successful business owner and Mr. Worker is gainfully employed again so that he can now spend money above his basic needs and help to stimulate the economy by buying the very product he is helping to produce which helps the company to succeed.

Without the wealthy investor, the entrepreneur would not have been able to make his dream a reality.

Without the wealthy investor, the worker would still be unemployed.

Without the wealthy investor, the worker wouldn’t have excess money to spend on those things that aren’t necessities and help to boost the economy.

This is a circular and very easy to understand economic reality of capitalism.  The entrepreneur creates, the wealthy investor invests and the worker is gainfully employed.  All three put money back into the economy because they have it which also further aids in boosting the economy.

Raising taxes on wealthy investors curbs the amount of money they are willing to part with to invest in companies or start-ups.  Raising taxes curbs the spending of those without jobs to keep businesses selling products in business.

It isn’t rocket science.  It’s business 101.  The economy doesn’t simply rely on people spending and the economy doesn’t simply rely on businesses creating jobs or investors investing.  It is a circular economic way of life that gets thrown a curve when taxes are raised – on the wealthy especially.

Not all small businesses rely on wealthy investors – they either save their own money or get loans from a bank (which of course does rely on wealthy investors) or in some cases loans from the federal government (which of course are our taxpayer dollars being put at risk and also relies on the wealthy in the form of taxes since the wealthy pay the majority of taxes).

Of course there are all kinds of economic factors that come into play such as ridiculous government regulations,  political games that are played by giving political favorites federal grants etc… but the point is that without wealthy investors, many companies would not exist today.  Vilifying and demonizing the wealthy only shows how incredibly ignorant Democrats are in D.C. and around the country.

Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison – His Despicable Lies and Historical Idiocy

In typical left wing lunatic fashion, Democrat Representative Keith Ellison from Minnesota recently spewed some huge whoppers at a forum he spoke at.  Mind you most of these are typical talking points handed down from the Democrat National Committee or some Left Wing organization but they are all lies and all lies that are easily proven TO be lies.  How anyone who has even half a brain can simply believe what someone as inept and vile as Ellison regurgitates is stunning.   The video is below as are some excerpts with direct Ellison quotes.  They are followed by the facts which prove his despicable lies to be just those – despicable lies.

Ellison: “This movement for Social Justice and an expanding embrace of America has been going on for a long time.”

Social Justice is not embracing America, it is forcing Americans to cater to a progressive ideology in which those who earn money and pay taxes are somehow responsible for giving their money to those who don’t earn money and pay taxes to somehow create social equality.  Social justice is un-American to its core.  It is more in line with Marxism and Communism

Ellison: “That group of people, that group of people that have always been afraid of change.”

Anyone who understands Ellison’s far left wing/Marxist ideology SHOULD be afraid.  They should be very afraid because what Ellison wants is to create a society of haves and have nots – with people like himself as the elitist who make the rules and everyone else the slaves to the chains of Marxism.

Ellison: “They didn’t want to end slavery.”

Apparently Ellison doesn’t know the truth about history.

Some facts for you Ellison:

It was Democrats who didn’t want to end slavery

It was Democrats who started the Ku Klux Klan

The Democrat Party is the only party to ever lynch a black man (along with the many white Republicans they lynched who supported civil rights).

It was Democrats who tried to stop the Civil Rights Act from passing over and over again.

It was Democrats who started the Jim Crow laws.

Ellison: “They didn’t want women to vote.”

It was Republicans who helped women get the right to vote.  Democrats were opposed because they feared women would vote for Republicans.   Suffragettes who were protesting for their right to vote outside of the White House while Progressive Woodrow Wilson was President were jailed.

Ellison: “Didn’t want people to organize in the workplace.”

There doesn’t seem to be any history to back this claim up.  It was progressive FDR who was against public sector unions.

Ellison: “Conservatives want Mom’s to get back in the kitchen & take her shoes off & get pregnant   They are offended by strong, powerful women.”

Really Ellison?  Like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Nikki Haley, Jan Brewer, Susanna Martinez, Mary Fallin, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Kelly Ayotte, Renee Ellmers, Martha Roby,  etc etc.   There were 129 GOP women in House races and 17 in Senate races.   Conservatives want women barefoot and in the kitchen?  No we want our powerful, intelligent Conservative women holding offices all over the country to counter balance the moronic women the Democrat Party has in office like Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.

Moral to the story Ellison – get some facts before opening your big mouth because there are people all over this country who know you are an ignorant fool when it comes to history and you are a typical far left wing extremist liar.

It’s the Spending Stupid – Tax Cuts do NOT increase the Deficit

Over and over and over and over again we hear how the Bush tax cuts added to the deficit.  This falsehood is utterly and entirely UNtrue.  It is basic Accounting 101 and you don’t have to be an Accountant to grasp the concept.  Since I happened to be an Accounting Major, it’s pretty simple for me to understand; however, there seems to be an entire block of society (the Left) that clearly cannot think through logic and numbers at the same time.  So I decided to write this blog and attempt to explain in very, very simple terms that even a 5-year-old can understand about how tax cuts do not increase the deficit.

Scenario 1 – Balanced Budget

You earn $100

You spend $100

$100 – $100 = $0  This is a balanced budget.  You spent exactly what you earned.

Scenario 2 – Deficit

You get a pay cut and earn only $80

You spend $100

$80 – $100 = -$20 This is a deficit.  You put the $20 on your charge card because you don’t have enough cash to pay the entire amount.

Scenario 3 – Spending Reduction

You still have your pay cut and earn only $80

You cut your spending to $80

$80 – $80 = $0 This again is a balanced budget.  You spent exactly what you earned.

The pay cut didn’t cause the deficit – the spending over the amount earned caused you to use your credit card; therefore, creating debt that you did not have before.

As you can see the concept is quite easy and anyone should be able to grasp this.  If you reduce what you take in (tax cuts) you MUST reduce spending to go along with it or you will have a deficit.  I don’t know how to explain these facts in any simpler terms other than maybe to change $100 to $10?  I cannot grasp the concept of millions of people NOT understanding this basic math.  Do they not have checking accounts?  Do they not have credit cards or not get pay checks?  The tax cuts do not cause the deficit – it’s the spending stupid.

This blog was brought to you by Accounting 101; Logic 101; Math 101; Are you smarter than a 5th grader; 1 + 1 = 2 not 3

White House thinks Americans are morons – just WHO are the true morons?

The unemployment numbers were released today and unemployment has risen to 9.2%.  When asked if this would affect the 2012 election, White House buffoon David Plouffe said the following:

“The average American does not view the economy through the prism of GDP or unemployment rates or even monthly jobs numbers,” Plouffe said, according to Bloomberg. “People won’t vote based on the unemployment rate, they’re going to vote based on: ‘How do I feel about my own situation? Do I believe the president makes decisions based on me and my family?’ ”

Really?  Now understandably he is thinking about the type of people who voted for Obama and who were part of Organizing For America but the rest of the country actually cares about the economy because it directly affects them.  Let’s see… what has changed that ‘American morons’ wouldn’t notice:

  • Gas prices have risen
  • Food prices have risen
  • Unemployment has risen
  • Food stamp use has risen
  • Welfare rolls have increased
  • Deficit has increased
  • College tuition has increased
  • Foreclosures have increased
  • War spending has increased
  • The value of the dollar has decreased
  • The value of homes has decreased
  • Union thuggery has increased
  • States on the verge of bankruptcy have increased
  • Regulations on businesses have increased
  • Healthcare costs have increased
  • Obama’s number of golf games has increased
  • Michelle Obama’s vacations around the world have increased

So please rethink your assertion about Americans being morons Plouffe because it appears that the White House happens to contain the majority of morons in this country.  Your 2008 Obots never did get their unicorns.  You can be assured that they aren’t going to haul their asses to the voting booth to vote for another 4 years of Ofailure.

Koch Industries gets the last laugh

After all of the bashing. lies and hateful rhetoric that the Democrats have pulled over the past year against the Koch Brothers, the DSCC had the nerve to solicit them for contributions.  Yes that is correct.  You see, those evil Conservative Koch Brothers have indeed contributed to Democrats in the past.  Apparently they smartened up.  The following letter was sent to uber moron Senator Patty Murray of Washington and was published on the Koch Industries site along with her voice mail:

Letter to Senator Patty Murray, Chair Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

Senator Patty Murray, Chair
Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

Dear Senator Murray:

For many months now, your colleagues in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee leadership have engaged in a series of disparagements and ad hominem attacks about us, apparently as part of a concerted political and fundraising strategy. Just recently, Senator Reid wrote in a DSCC fundraising letter that Republicans are trying to “force through their extreme agenda faster than you can say ‘Koch Brothers.’”

So you can imagine my chagrin when I got a letter from you on June 17 asking us to make five-figure contributions to the DSCC. You followed that up with a voicemail* indicating that, if we contributed heavily enough, we would garner an invitation to join you and other Democratic leaders at a retreat in Kiawah Island this September.

I’m hoping you can help me understand the intent of your request because it’s hard not to conclude that DSCC politics have become so cynical that you actually expect people whom you routinely denounce to give DSCC money.

It is troubling that private citizens taking part in the discourse have become the targets of White House and DSCC fundraising missives, and we would certainly encourage you to rethink that approach. Ultimately, I expect voters will see through that and will weigh the issues on the merits alone. But in the meantime, if you could provide me some insight on what exactly you are asking of us and why, I would be most grateful.

Sincerely,
Philip Ellender

*Listen to Senator Murray’s voicemail message here

This truly is amusing since Koch Industries contributed $10 million dollars plus over the past 10 years, 10% going to Democrats.  To think that they’d actually pony up more cash for a group of people who used the Kochs as whipping boys to push their union-thugfest lies for the past year shows just how ignorant the DSCC truly is and why no one should ever give them any money.  This is what we call karma and the Kochs having the last laugh. I’d bet money there won’t be anymore contributions to the Democrat Party from Koch Industries in the near future or ever if they keep the past year fresh in their memories.  Kudos for publishing the letter and embarrassing the hell out of a Party that is embarrassing the hell out of this country to the entire world.

Ripping apart NH GOP Rep.Quandt’s outright lies about Right-to-Work

If anything has become crystal clear during the Right-to-Work fight in New Hampshire (which passed with an overwhelming majority just not enough to bypass Democrat Governor Lynch’s veto in the House), it’s that there are union shills that are in the Republican Party.  Normally union shills are only found in the Democrat Party because as most people probably know, Big Labor pretty much owns the Democrat Party.  All one has to do is take a look at their campaign contributions to see that  found here on OpenSecrets.  Public Sector unions don’t try to hide the fact that they are in bed with Democrats and in some cases (although very rare) Republicans.  After all, if public sector unions help to get politicians elected, those politicians are going to ‘owe’ them political favors.  GOP Representative Lee Quandt is one of those Republicans.  As a former public sector union employee, he hasn’t forgotten where he got his start (regardless of how much it may hurt the state) nor has he forgotten who gave him support in his campaigns.  Here is Quandt’s bullsh*t-ridden blog from (of all places the Free State Project – for those unknowing – less government Libertarians):  His words are in italics and quoted, my commentary follows.

“RIGHT TO WORK!!! (FOR LESS)!!!

“HB 474, the right to work bill is a union busting/employee negotiating busting bill that originated out of one of the right wing groups from VA. Basically, what it does is makes it illegal to be forced to join a union or pay to offset the costs of contract negotiations (fair share). Currently state employees pay 59% of what dues is, if they don’t want to join a collective bargaining group. Some complain it isn’t fair to be forced to pay anything; they want the benefits at no cost to them and free load on the dues paying members. Others argue that if you don’t want to help pay for pay raises, insurance and other benefits, then you shouldn’t get them; interesting arguments.”

Basically employees who wish to opt out of the Union because they do not want to associate with it (that silly Amendment in the Constitution – Freedom of Association) they are FORCED to pay a fee regardless because some employees can’t bargain for themselves and have to submit to the ‘collective’ union.

“I have been told, and as a former state union member, that the state employees, in a 20 year period gave up pay raises for 8 of those years to keep our medical (which is a very good program). As a state probation/parole officer I was willing to work for less money than the private sector to insure Dorrie and the kids had good insurance.”

And how much did the taxpayers pay for that medical program?  How many excess days off did you get per year over what is average in the private sector?  The facts are that public sector employees make more than private sector employees for the same jobs and when you factor in benefits it’s almost triple what the private sector (the taxpayers) are making.

“That is all well and good when the economy is doing good and NH has traditionally done better than the majority; but, when the economy goes bad, like this recession, then the private sector jobs and benefits are reduced and the right wing groups start complaining about the pay and benefits of the public sector; his only one part of the complex arguments that are being thrown around.

They like to throw around the words private sector, private sector this and that. I’m trying to find private sector jobs that require them to put their life on the line fighting fires, arresting murderers, etc, etc. The public sector employees, police, fire, teachers and state employees in NH are not our enemies; they are our friends, allies and neighbors.”

The private sector is what stimulates the economy.  Small businesses are the economic engine of this country. Public sector jobs only suck money OUT of the economy.  The more the taxpayers have to pay (in excessive pension, benefits and pay, the less they have in their pockets and the less businesses have to re-invest money into the economy and create more jobs).  Union members are ALSO taxpayers.

“Why are we attacking them? The speaker of the house was on Fox News telling how he was going to make NH a right to work state. I hate to tell him this; but, NH is not a union state. Sure we have unions and bargaining units; but, not a union state; no one can be forced to join a union.”

I hate to burst your ignorant bubble Rep. Quandt but New Hampshire is a forced union state with fully 48% of public sector workers unionized.  I’d say that’s pretty much a union state.  And again the lie about joining a union.  A worker can ‘opt out’ of the union but they are still forced to pay an ‘agency fee’ and abide by union contracts or forego taking that job – in other words – if the job is under a union contract, a public sector employee has no choice but to work under that contract regardless.  It’s either that or ‘hit the road Jack’ and look for a job elsewhere.

“The RTW out of state advocates claim that if this legislation gets passed then it will increase jobs and we will all be on easy street; just like Alabama, SC, GA and the southern states. Lets pass RTW and lower our standard of living, our health insurance and those benefits that make NH one of the most vibrant and desirable states to live and work in, mostly because of our public services.”

It’s a proven fact that Right-to-Work states have higher increase of job creation than Forced Union states.  Apparently Rep. Quandt only gets the AFL-CIO blogs rather than the actual numbers from the Federal Government.  And funny Quandt mentions ‘out-of-state’ advocates for RTW, there aren’t ANY for unions now are there? (please note the absolute snark)

“If you ask 10 people what the NH advantage is, you’ll get 10 different answers; some will say our tax structure (wrong because NH is not a cheap state to live), we can’t say it is cheap electricity because we are amongst the highest in the country. We can’t say it is our low business taxes, because they are high. The reason is our educated and dedicated work force that is what is bringing business into NH. The largest business group in NH (NHBIA) did a multi faceted survey about NH business and RTW came in #14 (I was told) as an issue.”

ChiefExecutive.net did a survey of CEOs and where they believe the best states to do business are in the U.S. (note:  CEOs are the job creators).  New Hampshire came in at #18.  New Hampshire will do better if it becomes a Right-to-Work state and it SHOULD do better if the politicians who run the state actually care about their constituents.

“I think what bothers me the most is the misinformation that is knowingly and willfully being put out by our legislative leadership about how RTW is going to increase jobs, benefits and make NH a better place to live. They know better so why are they pushing a deceptive agenda of misleading information? It is obvious that the speaker is looking for higher office and wants to say how he broke the backs of the public sector workers and their families, how he balanced the state budget by denying services to the most needy, handicapped, homeless, and people in need of services. We all knew when we were running for office the state budget had to be cut; but, to try and build a political platform on the backs of those in need is not the NH Republican way. Maybe the people running the political show in NH are not republicans and brought the RIHNO virus into NH when they moved in a few years ago.”

Rep Quandt is so bothered by ‘misinformation’ yet he has spewed nothing but MISinformation since embarking on declining new jobs and economic growth for New Hampshire in favor of his union buddies in the public sector.  Workers will still be able to unionize but they will have a choice.  They will not be forced to pay an agency fee against their will.  If they choose to become a union member, they will still have that right.  The REAL issue is that unions know that many workers will completely opt out of union membership because many are not happy with the union thuggery or the way their union dues are spent on politicking.  That is the true issue and apparently Quandt is a part of it.  He should try being a part of the SOLUTION for New Hampshire working families and put into place a plan that has proven to create jobs time and time again.  And note to Rep Quandt – it’s RINO – Republican In Name Only, not RIHNO or even RHINO.  People in New Hampshire are more worried about progressives such as though who are in the pockets of big labor than they are RINOS but if the shoe fits maybe you ought to wear it – just be sure it has the ‘union label.’

“Now the RTW legislation has passed the house and senate and the governor has vowed to veto it. That means we have to get enough votes to sustain his veto and send some of the right wing loonies back to VA. No matter what happens, sustain or over ride the veto (I’ll be working to sustain) this is not the last vote that will be taken on this, the last vote will be in November, 2012, when the pendulum swings back and cleans out the house one more time.

As a side note RTW has never passed the legislature and it has come forward each session for the past 10 years, the only difference is the people we elected in the last election.”

Yes the people of New Hampshire have voted common sense into office (other than Governor Lynch).  The people of New Hampshire do not want to become Massachusetts-lite.  Everyone has seen how poorly the other surrounding states are run with their anti-business laws, nanny state anti-freedom laws and anti-constitutional laws.  The people of New Hampshire want job creation and a productive economic environment so they can continue to work hard, take care of their families and enjoy the freedoms that Democrats and ‘pretend’ Conservatives like Republican Lee Quandt try to steal away from them.  The Right-to-Work law is pro-ALL workers in New Hampshire.

Voting against the RTW law is voting ONLY for unions and neglecting the majority of the workers in this state who are NOT unions, specifically public sector unions.  And another note to typical progressive behavior like calling people ‘loonies’ Rep Quandt – many people in New Hampshire, including many Independents such as myself, know the benefits of RTW and we aren’t loonies, we are Americans who believe in Freedom of Association as written in the Constitution and creating legislation that makes economic prosperity BETTER for our state, not worse.

Do YOU know why Americans celebrate July 4th?

Some Americans actually don’t know why we celebrate July 4th.

In what should be deemed disturbing by any American, in the video below you’ll see that there are actual Americans who do not know why we celebrate Independence Day.  No, these are not 3 year old children, they are adults that have absolutely no clue why Americans, year after year, celebrate July 4th.   Mark Dice – author and activist – decided to hit a San Diego beach and ask people if they knew why we celebrate 4th of July.  What should be a ‘no brainer’ answer turns out not to be for some.  Is it that this isn’t being taught in public schools?  Or is it that Americans simply no longer care about the history of our country so they simply forget about it?   Whatever the reason, it is abhorrent that every American doesn’t understand why we celebrate July 4th.

Not surprisingly, in a report by the New York Times, only 1 in 4 high school seniors passed civic exams with a score of ‘proficient’.

Hillsborough race – High Voter turnout? Not really

In a special election to replace Republican Bob Mead in Hillsborough’s 4th District, Democrat Jennifer Daler took the race over Republican Peter Kucmas with 1401 votes to his 1007.  Democrats are now claiming this was ‘high voter turnout’ .  Say what?  In the 2010 elections Jennifer Daler lost with 2497 votes, which is more than the combined total for both candidates in this race.  In 2008 Daler had even more votes when she lost at 3512 .  Regardless of the outcome, there was very low voter turnout for this race.  This is typical with special elections but the Democrats are claiming a ‘referendum’.   Voters may very well have decided they wanted some balance in the Senate (it will still be a Republican majority) but the voter totals do not show anyone to be overwhelming interested in this race on either side.

Results from the 2010 election:

Results from the 2008 election:

Both sides will now start playing the ‘spin game’.  The Democrats are already trying to tell people there was high voter turnout when the facts prove there was not.  It would be interesting to see how many Indies actually voted in this election.  Since Daler has previously lost other elections, what does that say about her as a candidate and about voters in the district? What does this say about Kucmas?  Daler had more votes in 2008 and 2010 then both candidates combined in this 2011 election.  Is this a referendum on House Speaker O’Brien and the Republican majority?  It doesn’t really seem so since the voter turnout was so low; however, regardless of voter turnout, Daler still won in a district that has consistently voted Republican.

Trump’s three-ring circus finally comes to an end

Donald Trump announced that he will not run for President in 2012 – bringing his three-ring circus to a long-overdue end.  Why anyone thought that ‘The Donald’ was ever a serious candidate is befuddling.  Trump is known for his antics to get ratings and draw attention to himself and his business endeavors such as ‘The Apprentice’ and the Miss USA pageant.  Trump has a long list of why he isn’t a Conservative yet because he was opening his big mouth and feigning to actually care about the conservative movement, he won over some Independents and even Republicans.  His polling numbers were sky high for a while but thankfully, as people learned the truth about him, his polling numbers started tanking.  Frankly he shouldn’t have ever been on the radar.

Trump did nothing but make a mockery of conservatism and aided the Democrats in making Republicans look foolish – think ‘Birthers’.  As if Trump actually got Obama to release his long-form birth certificate.  Voters need to really start vetting candidates better before they jump on any bandwagon.   It’s not enough to listen to the words candidates are spouting; their past history must be researched.  Voters know this all too well since Obama was elected based on his speeches and not what his past actions told about him.  Had voters actually researched Obama’s past, they would have seen what many Conservatives discovered and realized the man was not suited for the Presidency, same thing with Trump.  Interesting that both Obama and Trump have a lot in common – both narcissists, both like to hear themselves speak but don’t like when others have differing opinions and both like to bloviate rhetoric without having mentionable actions to back up their ‘ideology’.
