Statistics and figures are not the Democrats’ friends. While they push to extend unemployment benefits yet again to the long-term unemployed, they fail to grasp that it is their own policies that are keeping these people unemployed. From the almost trillion dollar shovel-ready job stimulus that was thrust upon this country by Democrats ( including New Hampshire’s own Senator Shaheen and Representative Carol Shea-Porter) that failed to being insane enough to believe unemployment benefits create jobs, Democrats have failed on every level to produce (If unemployment benefits actually created jobs, our economy would be booming because we’ve had such long term unemployment). There are millions of people who are unemployed, under-employed, jumped ship to disability insurance or are just not working at all because they have given up and it’s thanks to Democrat policies that are killing jobs and hurting the economy.

Some facts from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

  • The Labor Force Participation Rate is only 63% – Down from 65.7% when President Obama took office In 2009. (BLS Website, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/6/14)
  • There are 762,000 Discouraged Workers in the U.S. who, despite wanting a job, are not currently looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them. (BLS Website, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/6/14)
  • There were 734,000 Discouraged Workers when Obama took office in January 2009. (BLS Website, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/6/14)
  • There Are 7.7 Million Americans who are currently working part-time only because they cannot find full-time employment. (BLS Website, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/5/14)
  • 27% of Unemployed Americans who have been unemployed for a year or more – Up From 11% when Obama took office in 2009. (BLS, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/5/14)
  • The “Real” Unemployment Rate, including those who have given up looking for work or are involuntarily working part-time is 11% in New Hampshire alone! (BLS, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/5/14)
  • The Real Unemployment Rate in New Hampshire Was 8.7% when Shaheen took office in 2009. (BLS, www.data.bls.gov, Accessed 1/5/14)

Obama, Senator Shaheen and Carol Shea-Porter claim they care about workers, jobs and the economy yet it is policies they have put into place that have continued the long cycle of unemployment across the U.S. and in New Hampshire. Today they are pushing to extend unemployment benefits to the tune of $26 billion. Rather than address the issues that cause long-term unemployment, they continue to create it. Democrats have had 6 years to turn the economy around and they haven’t. Neither Obama, Shaheen nor Shea-Porter will ever admit failure but the unemployment signs in this country have certainly proven exactly that.

Democrats’ Medicaid Expansion plan – stick taxpayers with $18 Million bill

The House released the Medicaid Expansion bill HB544 yesterday that they are desperately pushing to pass as soon as possible this year. The expansion is 100% fully funded for the first 3 years by federal funds (via Obamacare) then in phases down to only being 90% funded by 2020. That leaves New Hampshire residents/taxpayers with a hefty $18,250,000 or more added to the annual budget. What have the Democrats come up with to pay for this huge difference? Not a thing. The plan is to ‘terminate’ the program when this funding is no longer 100%. Name one Democrat who has ever terminated a government handout program? As a matter of fact, no Republicans probably have either.

The state legislature is doing nothing but pushing a future tax increase onto the people of New Hampshire but not being honest and telling them that. How can they possibly believe passing Medicaid Expansion without a solid plan to pay for it is a good idea? On top of it Speaker of the House Terri Norellli (D-Portsmouth) has decided not to hold any public hearings on this bill. It’s reminiscent of the way National Democrats like Senator Shaheen and Representative Shea-Porter voted for Obamacare with not one Republican vote and despite the majority of their constituents wanting them to vote ‘NAY’.

House Republican Leader Gene Chandler (R-Bartlett) shot back at Norelli in a release:

House Democrats have again chosen to ram this significant policy change through with little or no debate. This is one of, if not the largest expansion of a government entitlement program the New Hampshire legislature has ever faced. Attaching such an expansive piece of legislation to an unrelated bill is not the right way to approach any issue, much less something of this scale. On Wednesday, the House will be asked to vote on an amendment we haven’t even seen or been able to review. There will be no public hearing or opportunity for public input. It’s unfair to our Representatives and to our constituents. This is not how we should do things in New Hampshire.

Every Granite Stater should be aware of this massive increase to future budgets. Not one legislator should vote for the Medicaid Expansion until they tell taxpayers exactly how they will be expected to pay for it – will it be a sales tax; income tax; increased property taxes; increased fees? Constituents deserve to know the full implications of huge government programs their representatives want to put into place.

The New Hampshire Senate (led by a Republican majority) passed a budget yesterday that has Democrats doing what they do best – lie. As usual, Democrats seek to gain attention withpropaganda type posters without actually telling New Hampshire residents the facts or truth behind the budget. What is truly ironic and completely hypocritical is their “attack” that the budget is “ideological” rather than what’s best for New Hampshire. Apparently they forget the ideologue they elected in the White House.

That said, their “claims” are listed below as well as the facts behind them. It would be nice for the New Hampshire Democrats to inform residents rather than misinforming them all of the time but don’t hold your breath for that to happen. Chairman Buckley and his sidekick Harrell Kirstein (from New Jersey) will no doubt continue the lie and smear campaigns they have been waging for a while.

Claim: “The NH Senate GOP’s Devastating Budget”

Fact: Devastating? The budget wasincreased by 7% over last year according toFoster’s Daily Democrat. That’s hardly devastating. Democrats should be overjoyed since they love increasing spending. If anything, the budget should be decreased given the poor economic growth in 2012. Without better economic growth, where exactly do Democrats think the money they demand be spent come from (hint: it’ll be taxpayers who can hardly afford any increased taxes)?

Claim: “HHS – $40M Hole forcing cuts to CHINS, Mental Health Services and Developmentally Disabled Services”

Fact: They approved a $28 million increase for mental health programs while only cutting the social service agency general funds by $7 million. The Democratically controlled House had cut the fund by $4.5 million. Where was the NHDP (New Hampshire Democrat Party) outrage over that?

Claim: “Lays-off up to 700 NH workers due to budget cuts”

Fact: In 2012 alone, NH hired almost 600 new state employees even though the population of the state only grew by around 4,000 since 2010 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Clearly there is not a need for that many more state employees when the population is not growing at the same rate government is growing. That number doesn’t include how many were hired in 2011. New Hampshire needs to shrink government, not grow it, especially when the population numbers do not justify the growth.

Claim: “Rejects federal funding for improved health and economic security with Medicaid Expansion”

Fact: The Medicaid expansion would hurt New Hampshire. Eventually the federal funds dry up and the taxpayers will be on the hook for paying the increased burden. Not to mention that Medicaid has pretty horrible outcomes as reported by various medical studies (13% more surgical patients die who are on Medicaid than those who have no health insurance). Forbes also wrote an excellent article on reasons to reject the Medicaid expansion citing Medicaid’s bad coverage; cost to state budgets; federal controls and rampant fraud to name a few.

Claim: “Eliminates Green Launching Pad’s investment in new green energy businesses and jobs”

Fact: Obama has already wasted billions of tax dollars on failed green energy programs. New Hampshire does not print money like the federal government does. The state cannot afford to subsidize programs that are not in demand and may end up bankrupt like many of the following that taxpayers have already subsidized (these are just a few – the full list can be found atHeritage):

• Evergreen Solar ($25 million)
• Solyndra ($535 million)
• Nevada Geothermal ($98.5 million)
• SunPower ($1.2 billion)
• First Solar ($1.46 billion)
• Babcock and Brown ($178 million)
• Fisker Automotive ($529 million)
• Abound Solar ($400 million)
• A123 Systems ($279 million)
• Johnson Controls ($299 million)
• Brightsource ($1.6 billion)
• ECOtality ($126.2 million)

Claim: “Protects out-of-state big tobacco companies profits with cheaper cigarette prices”

Fact: The Senate rejected 20 cents of the 30 cent tax increase on cigarettes that directly hurts the poor the most since it’s a fact that the poor spend a bigger percentage on smoking. Regressive taxes are a Democrat’s best friend. The people that vote Democrat are completely clueless that they are getting screwed constantly with these types of taxes.

Democrats also neglect to mention the following items that were in the NH Senate GOP budget (from Foster’s Daily Democrat):

• University System of New Hampshire and community college aid increased
• $22 million to eliminate the wait list for developmentally disabled and brain disorder services.
• Senate funds charter schools; House places a moratorium on new charter schools
• Senate rejected and refuses to bargain over a House-proposed 12 cent increase in gas, diesel tax to pay for highway improvements
• Senate refuses to delay several yet-to-take-effect business tax breaks passed last session. Implementing them costs $13 million

It’s easy to rip apart the New Hampshire Democrat Party’s propaganda talking points and lies. Unfortunately it will probably be a cold day in Hell before they are honest with voters. It’s one thing to disagree about budget items but to outright lie or withhold important facts is egregious. Of course, this is business as usual for the NHDP under the reign of Ray Buckley. New Hampshire residents and voters deserve the truth and they deserve better than the “ideology” of the far left wing that has taken over the NHDP.

Why the Anti-gun crowd can’t be trusted and why their arguments fail every time.

This is by far the most brilliant article I have seen regarding the anti-gun crowd to date.   I’ve shared only a portion of it here.  You MUST read the entire thing by Barry Snell here.

 

Truth, treason and the empire of lies

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they are purposely misleading to rile the emotions of the ignorant. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they say more than 30,000 people are killed each year by guns — a fact that is technically true, but the key piece of information withheld is that only a minor fraction of that number is murder; the majority is suicides and accidents. We don’t trust anti-gunners because we know accidents and suicides don’t count in the crime rate, but they’re held against us as if they do.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because suicide is the only human-inflicted leading cause of death in America, and that violent crime has been on the decline for decades. We also know that 10 people die daily in drownings, 87 people die daily by poisoning, more than 20,000 adults die from falls each year, someone dies in a fire every 169 minutes, nearly 31,000 people are killed in car accidents annually and almost 2,000 are stabbed to death. People even kill each other with hammers. Yet fewer than 14,000 people are killed by guns of any kind each year.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because not only is the violent crime rate approaching historic lows, but mass shootings are on the decline too.  We don’t trust anti-gun people because they fail to recognize that mass shootings happen where guns are already banned — ridiculous “gun-free zones” which attract homicidal maniacs to perpetrate their mass shootings.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because school shootings have been happening forever, but despite them being on the decline, the media inflates the issue until the perception is that they’re a bigger problem than they really are. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they’re busy riling up the emotions of the ignorant, who in turn direct their ire upon us, demonizing us because we object to the overreaction and focus on the wrong things, like the mentally ill people committing the crimes.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they look down on us for defending the Second Amendment as vigorously as they defend the First Amendment — a fight we too would stand side-by-side with them on otherwise. We don’t trust anti-gunners because someone defending the First Amendment is considered a hero, but a someone defending the Second Amendment is figured down with murderers and other lowlifes. Where the First Amendment has its very own day and week, both near-holy national celebrations beyond reproach, anti-gunners would use the First Amendment to ridicule any equivalent event for the Second Amendment, like they did for a recent local attempt at the University of Iowa.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because anti-gun people put us down with dismissals like “just another dumb redneck with a gun.” We are told all over the Internet that we deserve to be in prison for being awful, heartless people; baby-killers and supporters of domestic terrorism, even. We don’t trust anti-gun people because even our own president says people like me are “bitter” and “cling to our guns and religion.” One need only go to any online comments section of any recent gun article in any of the major newspapers to see all this for themselves.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they seek to punish us for crimes we didn’t commit. We don’t trust anti-gunners because we know that the 100 million of us are peaceful, law-abiding citizens who love this country and our society as much as the next liberal. Yet when one previously convicted felon murders someone with a stolen gun five days after his release from prison, or things like the Newtown shooting happen, guns are blamed — and therefore lawful gun owners too, as there is guilt by association, apparently.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because when things like the Boston Marathon bombing happen, everyone correctly blames the bomber, not the bomb. Nobody is calling for bomb control because killing people with bombs is already illegal — just like killing people with guns is illegal too.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they’re fine with guns protecting the money in our banks, our politicians and our celebrities, but they’re against us using guns to protect ourselves, our families, or even our children in schools. Legislative trolls like Dianne Feinstein cry havoc about me protecting my life, while standing comfortably behind armed guards —and the .38 Special revolver she got a California carry permit for. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they tell us our lives aren’t important, or at least are less important than the life of some celebrity like Snooki, who can have all the armed guards her bank account can afford.”

What difference does it make NOW, Hillary?

Today the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held hearings on Benghazi with three “whistleblowers” who were involved with the outpost.  Both Democrats and Republicans took turns questioning the witnesses.  It was clear to any listeners (without seeing the party the Representatives were associated with) which party each Rep belonged to.  Republicans were fact seeking.  Democrats were perpetuating the budget lie and even the video lie that has been told over and over again by the White House.  What became crystal clear at today’s hearings is that both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton knew immediately that Benghazi was a terrorist attack and not a protest.

Other things that also became clear during the hearings today were as follows:

  • It was Hillary Clinton who sent Ambassador Stevens to Benghazi as she wanted it to become a permanent outpost.
  • Clinton knew that there were previous attacks as well as security risks at Benghazi.
  • Clinton received a phone call at 2am yet still didn’t send immediate relief.
  • Clinton blamed Nordstrom (a witness) for the security in Benghazi yet he previously asked for more security and was denied.
  • Both Obama and Clinton knew that very night the attack on Benghazi was not over a protest or a video yet perpetuated the video lie for weeks.
  • Both Obama and Clinton knew that terrorists were involved in the attack yet continued to blame a videographer in California.

When Hillary Clinton finally saw fit to testify before Congress in January, she made the despicable comment ‘What difference does it make’ whether it was a protest or a terrorist attack.   The difference, Clinton will discover, is that the truth matters to Americans.   It’s vital that our elected officials protect Americans and both Clinton and Obama failed.  It makes a difference that both Clinton and Obama knew the attack had nothing to do with a video yet continued to lie to the American people and persecute a man who had zero influence on Benghazi.   The difference that it makes is Americans deserve to know the truth.   The truth is quite clear – Hillary lied and four Americans died.   Clinton is directly responsible for what happened at Benghazi and Obama is directly responsible for what happened afterwards.

NH Democrats vote to further victimize women

March 27, 2013 – In a despicable majority vote today on the repeal of a portion of the “Stand Your Ground” law, Democrats voted to allow women to become victimized, not once but twice in New Hampshire if they dare protect themselves from an attacker using their lawfully owned firearms. What Democrats (and 3 Republicans – will update the story later with all of their names) have decided is that women are supposed to run away from a perceived threat in any public place that is not their dwelling. This bill essentially tells women if women dare protect themselves, they will have to prove there was a valid threat.

This bill:

I. Eliminates the provision allowing a person to use deadly force anywhere he or she has a right to be. [emphasis added]

II. Amends the definition of non-deadly force.

III. Repeals the provision granting civil immunity for the use of force in certain circumstances.

From a previous article regarding this law:

In 2010, with a Republican controlled legislature, the Stand Your Ground law was passed which allows women to defend themselves in public as well as in their homes and not be treated like criminals for doing so. Democrats said it would create a “wild west” environment (it didn’t)… Since New Hampshire already has one of the lowest gun crime rates in the country, Democrats have no reason to change the law. All it will do is turn victims into criminals and criminals into victims if a woman dares to protect herself using deadly force in public.

To be clear, this law affects both men and women but it’s a pretty well-known fact that criminals pick out victims they perceive as weaker than themselves. For a woman, a gun is an equalizer. There were no unintended consequences as Democrats and the anti-gun crowd claimed there would be. There was absolutely no reason to repeal any portion of the “Stand Your Ground” law.

Democrats are playing games with the lives of New Hampshire residents; especially women. They are turning innocent victims of crimes into criminals because they dare protect themselves and/or their family in public. With this repeal, Democrats further victimize women.

Gun Control Advocates are waging a War on Women

Gun control advocates have long demanded more restrictive gun control laws but after the horrific Newtown tragedy they have become more emotional, illogical and louder than ever. Governors and Legislators in many states are trying to enact ridiculous gun laws that only hurt law-abiding citizens. There’s a little known fact within the gun control crowd that criminals will not obey their laws. Legislators on the national level are also trying to put extremely strict gun laws into place, once again ignoring the fact that criminals do not obey their laws (including Obama and the DOJ – please see Fast and Furious). Some are even calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment. The majority of these people are Democrats who refuse to use facts in order to back up their demands for stricter gun laws. They are using their emotions to wage a war on women that will create more victims.

There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that proves women can protect themselves from assailants if they have a gun. There is also plenty that shows what happens to women when they don’t have a gun to protect themselves – they become statistics. As more women choose to become gun owners in order to protect themselves, it’s clear that they are fighting to avoid becoming victims. Women are empowering themselves by protecting themselves. Some disturbing 911 calls below:

Women who called 911 and didn’t have firearms

Woman is sexually assaulted while on the phone with 911

Stalking victim murdered while on the phone with 911

Elderly woman murdered while on the phone with 911

Women who called 911 and had firearms

Georgia mother shoots intruder, doesn’t allow herself or her twins to become victims

Teen mother saves herself and her baby from attackers

Woman kills stalker while on the phone with 911

This is not a hit against 911 dispatchers or the police who respond to the calls. Both do an excellent job in the most extreme circumstances. The range of response time to a 911 call is 5.7 minutes to over 30 minutes in the United States. It takes an intruder less than 2 minutes to attack once he or she has gotten into your home. Despite these facts, some gun control advocates believe calling 911 is the first step in women’s defense.

Gun control advocates in several states across the country are trying to enact more strict gun control laws than currently exist. They do not base their actions on facts or statistics.

Colorado

In Colorado a Democrat legislator actually told a rape victim that a gun wouldn’t have helped her protect herself despite the fact that sexual assaults fell 90% on the Colorado Springs University once they allowed guns to be carried on campus. Another Colorado Democrat believes that call boxes and rape whistles will help women defend themselves. These Democrats are using “bogus data” to make their claims that women can’t defend themselves with guns. The fact that women are safer if they have a gun to protect themselves has already been proven at Colorado Springs but those pesky facts don’t get in the way of gun control advocates.

New York

New York Democrats wasted no time in passing even more strict gun laws than they had in place before Newtown (gun crime is relatively high in New York even with their previously existing strict gun laws). The law bans all AR-15s and “assault” type weapons from being sold in the state. A Democrat legislator actually believes that women are “too weak” to fire AR-15s. The people that are passing these laws have zero clue how the guns they are banning even work.

In their haste to rush through bad legislation, the Democrats neglected to exempt police from their draconian gun laws. And of course, Governor Cuomo is creating an exemption in the law for his Hollywood buddies, just in case they need it.

Massachusetts

The Governor of Massachusetts wants to enact more restrictive gun control laws than currently exist. Residents of the state are already treated like criminals if they dare apply for a License to Carry. What’s interesting in this case is that their neighbors in New Hampshire have some of the least strict gun laws in the country, yet Massachusetts has a much higher gun crime rate. These statistics should be telling to anyone who reads them but not if you are a gun control advocate or Democrat. Even a Harvard study shows that gun control is counterproductive. Democrats love to use Harvard studies, except when the studies disagree with their “emotional reasoning”.

New Hampshire

It’s okay to use deadly force in your home but if you are in public you have to run. Since New Hampshire already has one of the lowest gun crime rates in the country, Democrats have no reason to change the law. All it will do is turn victims into criminals and criminals into victims if a woman dares to protect herself using deadly force in public.

At the federal level, gun control advocates are seeking to enact very restrictive gun laws that will absolutely victimize more women. Senator Dianne Feinstein is behind the new laws that states would be expected to enforce (so much for states’ rights). Feinstein is such a loon that she actually makes the claim that it’s “legal to hunt humans”. The Obama Administration has already said they will back any gun control legislation that Congress may pass. An “assault ban” has already been tried in previous years in this country only it was proven that it did absolutely nothing to change crimes with “assault weapons”. That may be because criminals do not obey the laws, something that Democrats cannot seem to get through their thick skulls.

Gun control advocates consistently toss facts and gun crime statistics out the window. In the latest gun crime statistics report from the FBI, it’s pretty clear that states with the most restrictive gun laws have more crimes committed with guns than those with the least restrictive laws (New Hampshire being one of them). Criminals love gun control because the laws don’t apply to them. They will continue to get guns illegally and use them to commit crimes against women.

Gun control advocates reduce a woman’s ability to defend herself by either banning guns or making it far more difficult for a woman to legally own one. They are creating a “Sad Sisterhood of Victims“. Women who own guns are empowered because they can protect themselves. Women cannot rely on 911, rape whistles or restraining orders. Until there is a police officer at every woman’s door 24/7, women must be allowed to protect themselves if they choose to. By putting more restrictive gun laws into place, gun control advocates are aiding criminals while waging a war on women.

Elizabeth Warren’s ‘war on workers’

Elizabeth Warren likes to pretend she’s for ‘the little guy’ or worker yet her past history and record of supporting legislation that will necessarily hurt the ‘little guy’ proves otherwise. There’s also the fact she’s campaigning around Massachusetts with out-of-state unions. Since unions in Massachusetts make up less than 18% of the total workforce, just who is Warren planning on representing in her bid for the senate seat? In a report by the Associated Press yesterday, Warren touts her support for Obamacare despite the fact that it will raise taxes on medical device companies (which affects workers) that thrive in Massachusetts and despite the fact that it will increase costs on workers.

Obama promised that premiums would go down once Obamacare was put into place but they have actually risen by $3,000 a year for workers. Obamacare will tax workers who have a ‘cadillac insurance plan’ in the upcoming years. This means millions of workers will have to pay an excise tax on good health insurance plans provided by their employers, necessarily affecting union workers the most. There are 5 new taxes in Obamacare that will affect workers in 2013 alone. Warren will claim Obamacare will keep people from going bankrupt but her medical bankruptcy myth was debunked years ago. Her medical bankruptcy claim is just another of her list of lies and fraudulent claims.

Warren’s war on workers doesn’t end with Obamacare. Warren’s history as a legal consultant for large companies against workers is becoming infamous. William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection, an Associate Clinical Professor at Cornell University, has been writing about Warren’s extensive involvement in lawsuits in which she helped large companies get out of paying monies owed to workers. Yesterday he posted how Warren helped Traveler’s Insurance get out of paying asbestos victims. Previously he has pointed out that “Warren represented Dow Chemical at a time it was denying any liability for breast implant claims.” Since Warren was representing Dow Chemical as her client, she clearly was working against the women who were suing them. Jacobson also reports on Warren’s involvement in the destruction of a small rural electric cooperative while representing a large utility. Of course this would kill jobs and hurt workers, namely ‘the little guys’.

And of course, as previously reported, Elizabeth Warren is campaigning around Massachusetts with an out-of-state union. Who exactly is Warren planning on representing in the Senate – union workers only; union workers from out-of-state or simply those who agree with her far left wing progressive ideology? Since union workers represent a small portion of the Massachusetts workforce and Warren is clearly emboldened to them (they will pay for her to be elected and then she will have to pay them back with votes to raise taxes and grow government), how exactly is Warren representing ‘the little guy’, the regular worker? Simply, she isn’t.

Warren has proven that she will continue to rail against workers with legislation and take note union members – that includes against you as well in Obamacare. While union leaders from out-of-state continue to spend union members’ dues to elect Elizabeth Warren, she continues her ‘war on workers’ with her ideology. Since Warren has a past of fighting against ‘the little guy’, it’s pretty obvious she’ll continue that modus operandi if she were to be elected. The only people who can stop Elizabeth Warren’s ‘war on workers’ are the workers themselves at the voting booth.

Biden tells the truth: Ledbetter about lawsuits, not equal pay

At a campaign event in Florida today, Vice President Joe Biden did something that neither he nor Democrats have done throughout the campaign – told the truth. Democrats, Obama, faux-feminists, women, Liberals, students and unions have been bashing Republicans who are against the Lilly Ledbetter Act. The Ledbetter Act that was passed by mostly Democrats and signed into law by Obama when he first got into office. It was never about equal pay but about lawsuits. Ledbetter was a huge win for lawyers, not women. It will most likely hurt women in the workplace because employers will think twice before hiring women who could file potentially frivolous lawsuits.

Over the past few months we’ve heard continually about the fake ‘war on women’ that is somehow being waged by Republicans and how they don’t want ‘equal pay’ for women. It’s not true, of course, but foolish people desperate to keep their party in power will say anything. Biden actually told the truth today and is probably the first Democrat to do so. BIDEN: All the Lilly Ledbetter said was if a woman finds out she’s been treated and treated wrongly, cheated in terms of her salary and benefits at work. That she’s able to sue from the moment she finds out. That’s all it said. Because they were locked out they said that if you didn’t learn within two years you were being cheated then you’re out of luck. But we changed the law. It’s not a –it’s a big deal for women, but it’s not a big deal in terms of equal pay. But it’s an important– and they couldn’t even support that

Hopefully he’ll tell the truth about the Paycheck Fairness Act as well. This is another bill that Democrats pushed as ‘equal pay’ but this one is about controlling business practices. The Act will hurt women even worse than the Ledbetter has the potential to but Democrats never let facts get in their way when dumbing down women. Conservatives and Republicans have been stating what Biden finally said today all along. The truth about the Ledbetter Act is that it has absolutely nothing to do with equal pay and everything to do with lawsuits. This is one ‘gaffe’ where Biden actually embarrassed his party by telling the truth.

New Romney campaign ad highlights ‘The Obama Plan’

“Five reasons we can’t afford four more years of Barack Obama“ is the last line in the latest Romney campaign ad released today. Since Obama hasn’t bothered to actually lay out his plans for the next four years, Americans can only assume he’ll continue with the same failed policies of the last four years. The Romney campaign apparently feels the same way and has created a new ad called ‘The Obama Plan’. The ad has sound bites that show just some of what is going to happen over the next four years if Obama is re-elected along with the sources of the information. The campaign had a press release on October 18 that highlighted the same information with links to the sources.

President Obama may not want to talk about his second-term agenda, but he’s already laid out his plans for the next four years. It’s interesting that the Obama campaign is always asking Romney and Ryan for more details about their plan when neither Obama nor Biden has actually explained what their own plan is for the next four years. If Obama’s plan is to continue his current policies, the country will be driven right over the fiscal cliff. What has ‘Obama’s Plan’ done over the last four years?

The above are direct results of Obama’s policies. Yes Obama ‘inherited’ a mess but what he did was create more of a mess. The Romney campaign ad is correct that we can’t afford four more years of Obama. More Americans seem to be paying attention in the final weeks of the presidential campaign season. More campaign ads will come out. There will be more 30-second sound bites. Will Americans actually pay attention and verify what they are being told for a change? If so, Obama is doomed.
